Kevin Esplin set to retire - The end of an era!

Kevin is proud to have been a member of our team at Devonshire House for Kevin Esplinthirty five years. Having reached the ripe old age of 65, he is now approaching retirement and it is with great sadness that he will be leaving Devonshire House at the end of September.

We would like to reassure you that we are looking forward to continuing to care for your patients’ dental needs. Whether you have been referring to Kevin for decades, or for a relatively short period of time, we aim to make the transition easy for you.

Like Kevin, our remaining team of seven Specialist Prosthodontists are equally qualified to care for your patients and you are very welcome to try some of us ‘for size’ with future referrals. It may help you to know that Philip Taylor and Assad Khan have more readily available appointments and therefore can offer your patients more flexibility with appointment times.

We look forward to hearing from you later in the year, and please do not hesitate to get in touch with any questions that you might have.

Assad Khan, Cyrus Nikkhah, Ian Pearson, Julian Martin, Nick Williams, Philip Taylor and Wail Girgis

Devonshire House Developments

As a result of recent patient feedback we are pleased to let you know that we have implemented several changes at the practice to help improve patients' experience whilst they are with us at Devonshire House.

'Car park too small' ...

We have extended and widened the car park increasing the number of spaces and providing more room to manoeuvre vehicles

'Not enough toilets' ...

We now have an additional toilet on the ground floor (3 downstairs and 1 upstairs)

'Difficult to see car park entrance'...

We have increased visibility by installing signs on the entrance pillars

'Poor availability for Hygiene appointments' ...

We have opened a small practice at Copley Business Park with 2 more surgeries increasing our appointment capacity as well as increasing our team of Hygienists to seven

'Difficult to find Copley practice within business park' ...

We have increased signage to the practice within the park

'Would like hygiene appointment before dentist examination' ...

We experimented with booking dentist examinations before hygiene appointments and following feedback patients can now choose their appointment order

Taking impressions the digital way

Devonshire House clinicians and nurses are now using our remarkable new intraoral intraoral scannerscanners. Thanks to wireless technology, these cutting edge scanners enable us to improve patients' experience by taking impressions digitally using a small hand piece. The scanning immediately builds an on screen image for patient and dentist to view which can eventually be used to print a 3D dental model .

Although digital impression taking will be possible for the majority of patients, certain treatments and circumstances may still require traditional impression making techniques.
