Implantology
The full range of implant care at Devonshire House includes the following treatments:-
1. Replacement of individual teeth using a bone-anchored single tooth implant-supported crown. This treatment can avoid using teeth adjacent to a gap to support bridges and can eliminate dentures. This treatment is commonly used for teeth lost in sporting injuries.
2. Support of a row teeth in the form of a bone-anchored implant-retained bridge. This treatment is used to replace failing teeth or partial dentures with a fixed replacement.
3. Full Arch Implant Supported Teeth. Groups of implants
can be anchored into the jawbone and used to support a fixed bridge
replacing a full row of upper or lower teeth.
4. Implant Enhancement of Dentures. Loose full or
partial dentures can be secured by a clip arrangement to a single
implant or a small group of implants allowing the wearer to regain
the security and confidence they lost when their natural teeth were
lost.
5. "Teeth In a Day" The NOVUM system is the latest development of Branemark implants introduced in 2000. With this treatment we can help patients with loose full lower dentures by placing a group of implants in the morning and fitting their fixed bone anchored bridge in the afternoon. In a few hours they can be transformed from dental disability to having the security of a row of fixed teeth. This then allows the return of confidence in their appearance and dental function.
6. Implant Enhanced Orthodontics. The use of implants to attach orthodontic braces to has revolutionised our tooth straightening treatment possibilities. Adults with previously hopelessly mal-positioned teeth have been able to keep their natural teeth and have them manoeuvred into the correct position using an implant as an anchor for the fixed brace.
